picture you can see I found the alignment shims had fallen out and where
laying under the lower radiator hose. This is why you should bring your car in

1972 Chevy C10 Pick Up 3-31-2010 On this truck I'm installing a transmission I rebuilt and an engine the customer had rebuilt by someone else. After completing the installation was in process of adding fluids and we had a coolant leak. It was leaking between the head and intake manifold at the front water jacket. So we pulled of the intake and I found the intake gasket had slid down out of position. Now I also have to drain the oil since we have coolant in the crank case. This is just one of the stupid mistakes I run into. Here at muscle car repairs you can rest assured that when we do a job we do it right the first time. The pictures below will show the engine with intake on and then with intake removed with gasket out of place. |
